An immediate rematch for NXPE and BREN serves as one of the opening matches for week 5 of the MPL season 8, and NXPE is definitely looking to take their revenge against BREN Esports this time as they go all in with the return or RENEJAY once again. BREN Esports immediately takes several hits on 2 energy shields allowing them to take an early lead against NXPE, and although NXPE is able to answer with turtle takes and trade attempts it seems that BREN has the better aggression and initiations especially during the first few minutes of the game. NXPE takes good answers and had their own attempts as well, but BREN and their zoning capabilities constantly get the better of NXPE and they find it difficult to position themselves during teamfights also due to the Baxia on FlapTzy, and since Yve’s real world manipulation can now be interrupted. A commendable defense was exhibited by NXPE and they were able to go for a near-wipeout against BREN around 16 minutes into the match, nearly getting the upper hand as they won that fight, but the death timers were too quick to say that it would be the end. BREN still held onto their lead but despite this lead, Yawi on that Khufra made so much plays that served as hope for NXPE, and all these attempts paid off as NXPE won a crucial teamfight towards the end of the game, allowing them to secure the game after an intense, BREN-dominated 23 minutes.

Game number 2 was evidently, or expectedly NXPE’s game to take as they successfully took most of their comfort picks against BREN Esports, and it showed as soon as we entered the game. This time, it was NXPE who had the better early game and early pickoffs against BREN Esports. NXPE showed so much coordination throughout the game and were controlling the momentum for most of the game, but a spread-out teamfight which took place during the 16 minute mark allowed BREN to take the lead and take turrets against NXPE as well. The fight eventually reached a point where Ribo on the Alice was too difficult to take down, and that paved the way for BREN to take game number 2 despite NXPE seemingly holding the win already.

Finally a 2-day event, several adjustments were made during the drafting phase for game number 3. BREN Esports evidently made the much more careful decisions, and they were able to allow Karltzy on the Natan once more to freely farm and scale, making things difficult for NXPE especially for the frontliners to initiate, since Karltzy and his damage won't make them last long. Unfortunately, unlike the first two games, game number 3 didn’t allow for both teams to reach that point where it would be the battle of the scaling heroes, and BREN Esports closes the series within 15 minutes along with their second lord push, continuing their streak from last week. This series just goes to show that indeed, BREN might really be back.
