Wise’s near-perfect game powers Blacklist past RSG to stay unblemished

Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario shone bright with his signature heroes to easily pull Blacklist International past RSG PH, 2-0, as the reigning champion stay unblemished through seven games in MPL Philippines Season 8 on Friday, September 17.

Wise was untouchable right from the get-go, utilizing his jungle hero Bruno who had an immaculate KDA of 5-0-1 to help the squad in black and white take the first point of the series with an 8-1 tally in 12 minutes of play.

Blacklist’s “Healing Galing” meta was also in full display in the series opener as they banked on the tried-and-tested Bruno-Rafaela combo together with Jonmar “OhmyV33nus“ Villaluna’s signature Mathilda.

With Salic “Hadji” Imam playing the Rafaela and OhmyV33nus anchoring the frontlines, Wise simply unleashed the damage from the distance while the supporting crew provided the sustain and mobility on team fights.

Wise followed it up with another stellar performance on his Granger in Game 2, scoring eight kills and five assists against a single death to lead the Tier-One backed squad to a 15-6 win.

“The Queen” then got his signature Estes in Game 2 and had 12 assists, a kill and only one death. Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, after a quiet Game 1, came out with a neat 2-0-7 KDA on his Lunox to take the MVP honors.

The Season 7 champions stamped their class all over RSG in Game 2, most notably on their four-man wipe of the opposing team in the seventh minute mark.

RSG showed semblance of life behind John Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto’s Benedetta who was instrumental in taking down two players from Blacklist to stop the Lord push.

His 3-1-1 stat line, however was not enough as Blacklist had a perfect response, with Oheb executing a picture-perfect Ruby DD play on his Lunox to help his team take three kills at the 13:37 minute mark to seal the victory.

With the win, Blacklist strengthened its hold of the top spot with a 7-0 card and a total of 17 points while RSG fell to 4-3 with eight points.

Blacklist will stake their seven-game win streak against Echo while RSG can bounce back when they face struggling TNC, both games on Saturday.
