ONIC sits safely as they earlier secured the second top spot of the regular season standings after a stellar performance coming in from the whole team and their shuffled lineups during the whole regular season. On the other hand, TNC, although they recently lost their chance to get into the playoffs, did not show any loss of hope as they entered their last match for this season. Coach Yeb fails to return for this day's match as well, leaving Baloyskie to draft a surprisingly late-game centric lineup for their team. Throughout the season we've known ONIC as a team heavily focused on objectives and balanced lineups, but game number one showed us something different from the usual. With that, TNC swiftly took control of the game with the immense damage output they are able to pull off against the scaling heroes of ONIC during the early to mid stages of the game, and although ONIC was so close to turning things around as they managed to answer and take out almost all of TNC's inhibitor towers, TNC secures the game nonetheless with crucial plays coming in from all of TNC's players--be it Benthings' clutch hook plays, Chuuu's dashes to safety, or Der's showstopping split push which almost put an end to the game.

This season definitely won't go by without last-minute surprises, which ONIC provided to us once more going into game number 2 as Kairi locks another Fanny--the second time it was actually used throughout the entire season. We later see how it makes sense into their lineup as Kairi pulls off successful aggressive plays not even a minute into the game, immediately after he secures his purple buff. Although it is quite the tricky lineup to maintain and utilize later on to secure the game especially against a scaling core on Chuu which is the Natan, ONIC holds on and proceeds to show precise execution and layering of skills especially between Baloyskie, Markyyyy, and Kairi to focus on Chuuu. One crucial play, however, which made use of this exact same play against Toshi on the middle lane, turned the tables for TNC as Chuuu surprises from behind and takes out Markyyyy and Baloyskie with ease since they also no longer have their proper utilities. TNC secures the first sanctuary lord and leaves ONIC with only their inhibitor towers 11 minutes into the game. The game remains static as ONIC not until the 23-minute mark, where Kairi steals the lord with only his retribution. Both teams kept going back and forth and we could make an endless list of close attempts to put an end to the game, but it just went on and even surpassed the 40-minute mark as well as the record of the longest game this regular season. Nonetheless, consistent pickoff plays from Der and Toshi enable so many opportunities for the Phoenix Army each and every time, and TNC successfully sweeps ONIC PH for their exit match this season 8.
