THE SAME CODE WITH A NEW INSTALLMENT: BLACKLIST INTERNATIONAL STARTING STRONG TO DEFEND THE CROWN

A lot of people doubted the UBE (Ultimate Bonding Experience) strategy before MPL Season 8 started. And yet, just like the usual- the Queen and his loyal subjects turned more doubters to believers.

Blacklist International began their journey to rewrite the championship code, starting with defeating the opposing team that stands in their way- the former super rookies from TNC Pro Team. The men in black and white showed two different ways to victory. One was the usual "getting beat-up in the early game but still managed to win because of the late-game investment" as the Queen held the line for the squad with the healing from Estes, being the life of the party alongside sustaining heroes in Alice, Barats and Aldous. Another was simply knowing the Meta and picking early-engage heroes and Coach BON CHAN picking up Kimmy from his old bag of tricks. The X-Factor, you say? Hadji got it all for you. You don't usually see Blacklist using Chou last season, but he simply brings another option for the squad to consider. Together with "The KDA Machine" being a man of a few words and a mechanical genius, we are yet to see him play in the jungler position. But why would you fix something if it isn't broken?

While on the other side, TNC Pro Team may have lost the battle today- but they have shown why they are already playing at the highest level after the Qualifiers last season. They may not have all the answers to defeating Blacklist International, but they know where to head next- thanks to 3MarTzy's aggressive play-style to focus on taking down Estes and Estes alone, and P-God (formerly known as RTzy) with the amazing Abyssal Arrows hitting the right targets while coming from different angles. Although having exemplary plays and highlights, their valiant efforts will be put to waste as the agents got them all figured out. It is still early into the season, and this is just a minor setback for what we are yet to see from other players, especially the veterans in Toshi (formerly from Omega Esports) and ImbaDeejay (from Cignal Ultra). Coach Lift and the other members of TNC are back to the drawing board as they shrug this off and fight against NXP Evos on Sunday.

GAME 1 - BLCK 11 - 11 TNC (20:25)

GAME 2 - BLCK 11 - 2 TNC (11:36)
