David and Goliath. The one on the bottom of the rankings versus the one on top. With little to no expectations, the former M2 champion charges on against the super team of MPL-S9. It's KarlTzy against his former team, who will come out on top? Is it the supposed powerhouse of the competition or is it gonna be an upset coming from the underdogs?

Coming onto the match without expectations whatsoever from anyone, the outcome felt like one-sided towards ECHO-PH. Standing on top of the standings, 6-1, they look to continue their momentum as the playoffs come nearer. However, everyone was shocked as BREN fearlessly marches towards the domain of the supposed super team. Armed with JOY BOY's Chou, they invaded the enemy camps, disregarding Yawi's Jawhead and KurtTzy's Yve. In fact, 11 minutes into the match, the real time win rate was highly in favour of BREN Esports, 64%.

Throughout the game, they were able to delay KarlTzy's Fanny pick, leaving him with only four (4) purple buffs as their opponent went on aggressively. It's also important to note that their rotation gave ample space for SUPER MARCO'S Clint to farm freely—at some point resulting in a 5/0/6 standing, bursting anyone that comes in front of them. BREN regains their momentum as they took a penetrate the seemingly impenetrable armor that the super team has, they take Game 1 in this best-of-3 series.

Game #2 looked like a different game from Game #1. BREN still went aggressive earlier on but ECHO slowly bared its fangs against BREN. It was a seesaw game, BREN marching on committing mistakes, ECHO capitalizing on those mistakes pushing BREN back. However, with an almost consistent playmaking coming from JOYBOY, backed with Pheww's precise positioning and SUPER MARCO'S impeccable timing with the Zaman Force, ECHO lost most of the teamfights in the game. Still, KurtTzy's Vale alongside KarlTzy's Paquito and Yawi's Franco, they were able to fight back despite the odds.

It was one mistake in the final teamfight that cemented the win for the winning team. Pheww is indeed back for the seemingly greatest upset of the regular season as BREN Esports proves to everyone that the fire still has not run out. The underdogs of the tournament sweep the super team and once again, David prevails against Goliath.
