After an unfortunate loss to this team during the first round of MPL-PH S9, BREN looks to avenge and redeem themselves as they go up against RSG-PH in today's series. After winning against the tournament's juggernaut, ECHO, the former look to continue their momentum in their clash today against the King Slayers, currently standing in the 3rd seed of the competition. Will the M2 champs continue their streak dethroning the top seeds of the tournament or will they bow, once again, before the King Slayers?

After getting JOY BOY's Chou and Phewww's Selena, it felt like an easy game for BREN as these heroes are the pocket picks of these players. True enough, the early game easily went to their favour. With the extreme vision coming from the Selena and the fast rotation coming from the Chou, the two (2) roam strategy looked like a good strategy in this game. However, it is as if RSG-PH saw this coming and waited patiently until it was a good time for them to fight back. Light's Franco was monumental in RSG-PH's arsenal; with magnificent Iron Hooks coming from him, it was easy for Aqua's Eudora and Kousei's Beatrix—who, by the way, is having his debut game in MPL-PH S9—to burst down anyone that Light was able to pull to them. This wipeout before the 14-minute mark ensured the win for RSG-PH. Light's Franco is a force to be reckoned with that their opponents need to recognize as soon as possible if they do not want to face defeat, just like how BREN lost game #1 to RSG-PH.

This was a better game coming from BREN as they did not let RSG-PH rotate freely around the map in the early stages. Armed with a Karrie pick, they look to be able to extend the game into the late game phase as they are confident that the hero will burst Light's Khufra and Kenji's Hylos. However, it is still RSG-PH's utmost discipline and precise teamfight initiation that has resulted in the team's win. With a plan to invade the enemy jungle in the early stages, they were able to quickly monopolize the map of the former champions and halt Karrie's snowball capability. The seemingly undaunted plays from veteran players Kousei and Kenji who just made their debut game in MPL-PH S9 in this game added a new layer of variety in the hands of RSG-PH. Once again, RSG-PH proves just why they are the King Slayers as they stomp on the former champions.
