One team has to fall, and one team gains an extra life. Another journey will sadly come to an end as a promising series unfolds between Blacklist International and Nexplay EVOS.

The series begins as suspenseful as it could get as Blacklist International decides to take another attempt at an unconventional hero, a Karina pick, for their jungler Wise. Things were steady for NXPE and precise abyssal arrows came in from Yellyhaze for the entire early game, but BLCK makes their magic work and retains composure despite the clear gap that NXPE was able to set up throughout the entire game. One misplay coming in from NXPE which resulted in a scattered teamfight from their side paves the way for BLCK to take out NXPE's entire midlane in the blink of an eye, and puts an end to game number 1 for the sake of their spot.

GAME 1 MVP: OHEB

NXPE retains their same lineup from game number 1, only changing Yellyhaze's hero into an Yve, whereas we see signature BLCK with a common regular season lineup, comfortably performing in game number 2. Patience prevails as BLCK heavily focuses on objectives alone, with minimal clashes and head-on fights taking place between both teams allowing them to take the upper hand against a teamfight oriented lineup coming in from Nexplay. NXPE found it difficult to maximize their new lineup, and things were in favor for BLCK. Nexplay EVOS knew how difficult it would be to defend the lord push that could come in from Blacklist International given the compatibility of their lineup, and they initiated a fight regardless of Wise already taking down the sanctuary lord--which eventually led to their downfall, allowing BLCK to close the game within 18 minutes of objective-based gameplay.

GAME 2 MVP: Hadji

Game 3, a do-or-die for Nexplay EVOS. We see both teams with their signature lineups, coming into a crucial fight to maintain the Nexplay Roar. Yawi takes his signature Akai, but Wise gets hold of his horrifying Aldous pick. Wise consistently takes each and every turtle objective despite being up against a Lancelot, but NXPE does not fail to answer BLCK every now and then, keeping the kill score at 5-5 even 12 minutes into the game. The map, however, proceeds to shrink for the side of NXPE, as BLCK takes control and does not allow for NXPE to go anywhere as they also have to keep in mind the global ultimate and vision of Aldous' Chase Fate. NXPE hangs on and prolongs the game until Blacklist International prevails and keeps the crown protected, staying for the battle among the last few teams this MPL season 8.

GAME 3 MVP: Edward
