Both teams come into this battle filled with hunger for redemption after they each had their tough run last season, but it seemed like the newly-revamped TNC lineup and their veteran-rookie combo prevailed as the hungrier team, disregarding any pressure and putting in their A-game for their debut match in the MPL-PH S9. From the early game rotations and early game pickoffs, Benthings, SDzyz, along with the rookies Yasuwo, Escalera, and Kramm, were able to exceed so much expectations for their first game together. TNC knew and were in control of all the events that succeeded, and closed the first game of the series with a clean wipeout against Smart Omega.

For the second game of the series, TNC Pro team decides to deploy a very similar lineup to that which they had during the first game, but the same strategy of early game disruption and delay onto Raizen remains evident to this game. This time, though, we do not see a replay of the early game outcomes as OMG is able to answer back the engages and begins to play along with the aggression of TNC much more than they were able to for their first game. Nonetheless, Benthings on his second Chou is able to surprise the players of OMG each and every time, and yet another crucial setup after the lord spawn coming from him was able to shake the equilibrium and sway the tides into TNC's favor. TNC again, being the hungrier team, was able to prevail in the end once again thanks to a winning setup provided by Benthings once again, and with Raizen as the last man standing to defend the phoenixes did not let him have his way as they rush straight to OMG's base to end the game and secure a clean sweep for their debut match this season 9.
