Since TNC arrived in MPL, this is the first time they've beaten BREN in a series. They were scrimmates during the M2 World Championships and MPL Season 7 Qualifiers. These two teams built each other up to get where they are now.

"The curse has been lifted" says Coach Lift after sweeping BREN in a best of 3 series. This was definitely a triumph for TNC.

BREN dominated the early game, secured all the turtles. The gloo pick from BREN gave TNC the upper hand in the draft. The Goos when “Split – split” is cast by Gloo can easily be countered by the Area of Effect damage by the heroes picked by TNC, which cooked up for the recipe in dominating the mid to late game phase. Light with the Khufra really gave his teammates enough space and information for them to change things up. The Xborg of 3MarTzy played aggressively and became instrumental for the win, that one time he used the last insanity - flicker play bought time for Chuuu to take over. The Ling was heavily farmed and was focusing on objectives, they failed to secure turtles but actually went for the turrets for the trade. There were times that Chuuu really waited and took his timer before going all in to crucial clashes. P-God together with Kousei on the other hand provided enough magic damage to force BREN to build up items that can counter it, this opened up for Chuuu to take charge and deal damage when the right timing comes.

On game 2, BREN wanted to secure turret objectives with the Natan and Rafaela combo. But the defense of TNC was on point making it hard for BREN to use their heroes to its full potential. With the Xborg of KarlTzy as the jungler, they were having a hard time making space because of the poke damage that is being given to them. P- God made use of the Feathered Air Strike to create space and pursue zone control throughout the game. They were forced back and the lanes were frozen, eventually resulting to an increased damage output from TNC. Without enough crowd control, the veterans failed to hold off the new kids on the block. Light's Khufra had set-up the positioning to deliver the final blow to sweep their masters in an upsetting victory.
