After being in the same team for multiple seasons of MPL Philippines, this will be the first match wherein H2wo of RSG and Renejay of Blacklist will face each other as enemies and not allies. Which team has adapted the most with their rosters and are ready to dominate? Who will win the fight with this newly sparked rivalry?
Blacklist sticks to their basics and picks up multiple of their comfort heroes such as the Kaja, Lollita, Benedetta, Valentina, and Karrie. They ban out heroes that could potentially disrupt them such as Franco, Wanwan, and Kadita. RSG on the other hand banned out heroes such as Lapu-Lapu, Alice, and OhMyV33NUS’s signature pick, Estes. They then proceed to draft a pick-off central composition using heroes such as Hayabusa, Khufra, Gloo, Joy, and Melissa.
Game one starts with both teams acting closely with each other. Blacklist is successfully able to secure the first turtle objective which allows them to hold a small gold lead of a few hundred gold. RSG is quick to react as they retaliate by continuously picking off the heroes of Blacklist. This allows RSG to start taking hold of the gold lead. RSG makes good use of this gold lead to start taking control of the pace by holding Blacklist down and taking the rest of the turtle objectives. With RSG continuously taking down heroes of Blacklist, they keep a high enough gold lead to wipe Blacklist out during the second lord ending the game and taking game 1.
Blacklist starts off game two’s draft honing what their known best for with their UBE strategy by locking in the Estes along with Faramis, Brody, Benedetta, and Kaja. While banning out picks such as Hayabusa, Ling, and Melissa who are known to disrupt the Ube strategy. RSG plays a more standard draft by locking in Fredrinn, Lolitta, Claude, and Valentina. They also picked up the Arlott who was just recently opened to be played in MPL.
The game starts with RSG successfully taking down the first objective but Blacklist answers back by taking first blood. Despite RSG taking the first two turtles, Blacklist is able to keep the gold balance very closely as they win in more pick-offs. The gold balance is lost when RSG successfully wins a team fight around the 8 minute mark giving them a gold lead of around 2000. They use this lead to successfully take the next two lords, further increasing the gold lead. Utilizing the gold lead, RSG is able to land a huge team fight against Blacklist almost wiping them out which allowed them to march towards Blacklist’s base to end the match taking game two as well as the series win.
