RSG Philippines is on their way to fully secure the top spot all to themselves if two points would be acquired tonight. Standing in their way are the runners-up to the World Stage who want to keep themselves cozy in 4th place.
The game started out with the usual ONIC Fanny strategy that had worked for them before. The first minutes of the game went all in favor of the Golden Hedgehogs because of the early pressure and quick rotations, given that they do have a quick-rotating composition. Beemo also made his debut in this series while holding on an Atlas to find their way to victory- and he didn’t disappoint. Most of the Fatal Links that were being done by the ONIC roamer were converted into kills, and gave more space for the rest of the members to farm and get the items of their own. However, given that they didn’t have any form of late-game damage against RSG- who were heavily reliant on the timings to be able to make something work: it was beyond the 20th minute that their nightmare started to begin. Emann started hurting with the use of his Sniper bullets, Aqua’s bats were really giving an impact and was scaring ONIC from entering; and the durability from both Demonkite and Light secured the late-game win for the Raiders.
Moving forward to the second game, ONIC still find themselves at the Atlas realm- locking it in as their roamer with having an Angela as an immediate support to spice things up a little bit more. On the other hand, the other side revs a whole new lineup sans Demonkite- who was still using the same Baxia pick that they had in Game 1. ONIC- this time around is dependent on the timing because of how the Aldous will still continue to stack together with Angela’s help. Aside from all of that, a Karina would also play a vital role to keep the momentum for ONIC leveled while the others farm for items and extra damage. The same scenario poses for the yellow squad, with them securing both turtles and 3 kills to none in the first 5 minutes of the game. They’re dissecting the rotation that is being done by RSG and are increasing their gap and chances to win the game. However, Light started to shine with the Iron Hooks, capturing one hero after another to equalize and take errors from both the top and bottom to attain territory. The use of burst played an essential role together with the Fatal Links- which has proven to be an enormous help in their forms of attack. RSG was backed into a corner as ONIC found some more turrets to retaliate. But venturing could only get you so much, and there are consequences to those kinds of attacks. A fatal error brought the house down for ONIC as RSG converted those errors into kills- up to the point that there was no longer anyone who were standing in their way.
With that win, RSG is your regular season leaders and will have an advantage over all the other MPL teams come playoff period.
