"Masaya po, kasi hindi namin ineexpect na ganun yung tingin sa amin ng ibang bansa." - SDzyz's thoughts on being popular overseas because of their gameplay

TNC were one of the teams that managed to acquire a slot to qualify for the playoffs after yesterday's matchups. But even in spite of that- they were still going on with the same objective mindset as they go up against ONiC Philippines, a team that has secured their own spot while sitting at 4th place with 17 points. The Hedgehogs needed to find more ways to acquire a better position for playoff contention. The Phoenix Army also look to do the same thing- as they still long for better spots on the standings.

The first game went out like a blur. There were a lot of quick back-and-forth action from the start of the draft. Both teams got the comfort heroes that they wanted, but the story of the preliminary match went over to only one. It was TNC's smart striking that caught ONIC looking at the older version of themselves as the men in orange managed to take one turret after another while not forcing any form of fighting to the other side. Kairi was always being taken to consideration by both Benthings and Kramm to the point where he was not given neither a path or space to take some points down. With a 5-5 kill score, it was TNC that capitalized on the individual plays that each player made to deny the point from ONIC. SDzyz would be the MVP of the Game after taking two lives, assisting two times, and not dying even once.

The second game started with the draft being different for ONIC. They chose to settle for comfort for themselves by giving Selena and Paquito to both Baloyskie and Kairi, respectively. At the same time, they were on a double fighter setup with Markyyyyy holding a Phoveus on the Gold Lane. On the other hand, some analysts were surprised with a Lylia being picked first- which played into their favor because more comfort and counters played on their side. TNC wanted the same thing to happen right away after securing lots of objectives for themselves and every single team fight was calculated with minimum damage in return. They're punishing ONIC for their failed conversions in terms of kills and kept backing it up with their wits and outplays. A Lord take brought the momentum closer to ONIC with a mix of the classic Banana Split strategy in fighting. Splitting the other members of TNC while someone's pushing the weak lane gave them more room to move from them. However, it was still the damage and the lack of late game pressure of ONIC that TNC maximized to stay afloat 13 minutes into the game. The Phoenix Army gave ONIC a taste of their own medicine after shifting their sights on the opposing heroes. However, thanks to an amazing outplay of Kairi that eliminated two heroes in one go- they were able to easily take the Lord for themselves and stay in the game. SDzyz had something to say to answer ONIC's surge by an amazing work on Ling that gave them a major objective take to bring it all in and secure more points for themselves.

With this loss, ONIC needs to regroup. They’ll have to wait for the upcoming game next week and figure out what to tweak from their strategy to find their common ground come playoff time.
