The next season (MPL-PH S9) is expected to start between January to May 2022. There will be no changes to the participating teams and league format. Now that we are off season, MPL-PH will do some adjustments for S9 based on the various feedback collected from S8. We will make some improvements in production, league ops, promotion and other aspects to solve issues experienced in S8.

For MDL-PH S1, it will be conducted in the same duration as MPL. We are trying to add some new teams to MDL to increase the competitiveness of the tournament. More new players will join the professional stage. We look forward to seeing you in MPL-PH S9 and MDL-PH S1!

MPLI is a 3rd-party tournament held by ONE Esports, supported by MOONTON Games. There will be 20 MPL teams from Southeast Asia. The teams will stand a chance to earn a USD 100,000 prize pool, and it is still a big stage for all MPL teams to showcase the best competitive performance that they can give.

Criteria

1. The player's team is among the top two in the regular season.
2. During the regular season, this player won weekly MVPs and had a consistent track performance.
3. Excellent player data or had a clearly outstanding performance in the team.

The player has not made any serious violations.

Selection process

• Every caster or panelist will recommend three candidates (Candidates are arranged in order).
• Rank 1 can win 5 points, rank 2 can win 3 points, rank 3 can win 1 point.

According to the results of the first round of selection, MOONTON Games will determine the winner. If the votes are tied, the one with the most first choice will be awarded; if it still cannot be judged, the number of second and third choices will be checked in turn. If it still cannot be judged, the player with the higher team ranking will win the prize.

Criteria

1. The result of the selection of players must conform to the player's role, and each player can only occupy one role in the best team.
2. The players performed well throughout the season.

Rap Battle by casters was an experimental content for us in S8. We plan to continue exploring the talented abilities of the players in addition to MLBB in the future. And will encourage them to show to the fans next season, we will also try to shoot some special interesting videos for them.

We currently have no plans to open a dedicated customer service mailbox for MPL related issues, we will focus on improving tournament operation, production and promotion. Any questions on the game can still be submitted to the in-game customer service.

We have an internal database for all MPL, MSC and World Championships matches. Next season, we will try to showcase more interesting data and increase data categorisation to make it more attractive for our fans.
