It was probably one of the most anticipated matchups of the week, given that it has been highlighted by lots of people. The tournament favorites versus the people's champion? You cannot really expect anything less from the upcoming fight. But unfortunately, the excitement from everyone will immediately be ejected because one team was not able to show up on time.

ECHO Philippines were in the venue as they waited for their rivals to show up and get the match started right away. However, some unfortunate circumstances came in and NXPE- knowing that their bootcamp is way back in Pampanga, would always take long in terms of their travels and it would explain the uncertainties especially during emergencies that most of us wouldn't really expect.

It is in accordance with the MPL-PH Season 9 Rulebook under 7.3.4.2.8. Is that teams must prepare for the match an hour prior to starting and entering the game online fifteen (15) minutes before the match. The rule also stated that if one team has not entered into the match room which has been prepared after 20 minutes, the late team by default is considered to have lost the match.

The initial schedule of NXPE vs. ECHO was destined to be at 8:00 in the evening. As of 8:33 PM, Nexplay EVOS were unable to reach the studio in time. Adhering to the aforementioned rules stated above, the operating committee of MPL Philippines finally declared ECHO Philippines as the winner of the match by default.
