Both RSG Slate and Bren Esports were the hot potatoes of the League. Bren Esports with the winning streak after their lost to Echo Philippines up against the revamped RSG Slate which is the newly found home of H2wo. Bren Esports seemed unstoppable but can the new chemistry from RSG break this winning streak built up by Bren Esports?

Bren was on the blue side and they banned out Kadita, Kaja, and Melissa while RSG Slate banned out high mobility heroes such as Fanny, Joy and Wanwan. Even though Faramis was available Bren opt for Gloo and surprisingly, RSG went for a Valentina, Fredrinn. Bren then check on Fredrinn by picking a Karrie and deny a counter pick for Gloo as they also pick a Gloo. For the second ban phase, both teams banned out possible roamers. A classic Hayabusa and Ruby pick for both Kyletzy and Owgren respectively while a Dyroth and Franco pick to finalize RSG Slate line up. The draft extremely favors Bren Esports as they have a very comfortable draft and they also countered the heroes of RSG.

Bren Esports never left any opening for RSG as they snowball their early game lead, they were always one step ahead of RSG Slate until 13 minutes when RSG was behind Seven Thousand gold and Bren was taking the Lord, EMANN was able to sniped the Lord using Renner’s Apathy and thanks to the vision provided by Light at cost of H2wo’s life. As the Lord marches bottom, Bren was not prepared for the bush conceal play of RSG as RSG immediately took down Super Marco. Despite the late Cult Altar from Pheww, he was able to land a 4-man Shadow Stampede and the follow up from the rest of Bren Esports, they were able to prevent a potential game ending play. By the 17th minute mark, Bren was able to secure a Lord but an Iron Hook landed on Owgwen as they tried to approach RSG’s base. Fortunately, a timely Cult Altar was casted and Bren Esports was able to counter initiate and together with the Lord, they ended the game number one.

For the second game, the bans of both teams were pretty similar to game number one with 2 minor changes as RSG banned out the nasty Faramis of Pheww and an annoying Gloo of Flaptzy from the previous game. RSG still went for a Fredrinn jungler while Bren picked up the previously banned heroes; Kaja and Melissa. It was Bren this time that went for a Valentina while RSG got the Pharsa and Claude. For the second banning phase, RSG banned out possible heroes of Kyletzy while Bren check on Light’s hero pool. We get to see the second Arlott pick from RSG together with Khufra while a surprising Diggie pick from Bren signaled a Kaja jungler and a Lapu-Lapu to finalize their draft.

A different story for game number two as RSG Slate was able to make trade with Bren Esports this time. However, all three turtles were secured by Bren, building a small lead despite the even kill score. Light set ups were always countered by Master Owgwen all throughout the early game. A minute lord Lord dance were issued by both teams, a Tyrant’s Revenge from Light broke the stalemate however the timely Time’s Journey saved Bren Esports once again and they were able to take down 3 members of RSG as well as a Lord. RSG was able to defend their base and by the 14th minute mark, there was another Lord dance ultimately secured by Kyletzy once again as Bren Esports immaculately zoned H2wo away from the pit. Despite a really good Blazing Duet from EMANN, they were 3 men down already for the cost of Pheww’s life. With the Lord marching midlane, a desperate defense attempt from RSG using both Feathered Airstrike as well as the Blazing Duet took down Melissa however, with the Lord lock on the base and the rest of the members of Bren locking as well, they were able to take the base down. Bren Esports took down RSG with a clean 2-0, marking the third swept of MPL-PH Season 11 Week 3 Day 2.
