Blacklist is the last PH team left.
After beating Bigetron Alpha, 2-0, in the quarterfinal of ONE Esports’ MPL Invitational 2021 (MPLI 2021), Blacklist International is set to face the King of Kings, RRQ Hoshi, in the semifinal.
It will be a tough road ahead for the back-to-back MPL PH Season 8 champions, however, Kiel “OHEB” Soriano remains optimistic and even assured everyone that they’ll be the first team to proceed to the Grand Finals.
OHEB talks about their chances against RRQ Hoshi
In a post-game interview after defeating Bigetron Alpha 2-0, Blacklist International’s star offlaner expressed his excitement going into the semifinal.
“It feels great to represent our country. It feels good,” he said.
On facing RRQ Hoshi in the MPLI 2021 Semifinals, he said “We’re excited to face RRQ Hoshi because they said they are the strongest team at MPLI 2021.”
When MPLI caster, Mirko, asked OHEB if he’s 100% that Blacklist will win the series, OHEB said “Yes, we’re sure.”

After RSG PH was eliminated by ONIC Indonesia on the other side of the bracket, Blacklist International is now the only remaining MPL PH representative in the tournament.
On the other hand, MPL ID still has three teams remaining with Alter Ego, ONIC Esports, and RRQ Hoshi all still up and running in the semifinal.
