Ladies and Gentlemen, the Grand Finals of MPL-PH S10 is here as the M3 champions is back again in the grand finals and will go to Jakarta, Indonesia to participate in M4! with Echo Philippines standing in their way for their 3rd possible championship, how will they play to secure the trophy? They have faced off earlier in the playoffs with "WISE" shutting Echo down with his unique fredrinn and guinivere pick for a 3-0 sweep. Will Echo philippines gain redemption for their humiliating loss and win their first MPL championship? or Will Blacklist ride their momentun for a flawless Playoffs run?
Game 1:
Opening our first game of the series, we have witnessed another unique pick from WISE! A Valentina pick to counter Yawi's insane kadita and a surprising counter for akai as Wise have stolen the hurricane dance multiple times to get objectives in all parts of the map and a crucial initiator for team fights in the side of Blacklist. A flawless execution for Blacklist International as they picked 3 purify spells to counter kadita and Wise even have a purify even though he has a retribution spell as hurricane dance has a mini purify effect with the initial cast of the skill. A 100iq play, draft, and execution indeed for Wise. With that said, OhmyV33NUS also lead her team to victory with those flicker + noumenon blast, flicker + charge stun, and those crucial guardian's bulwark to initiate, defend, and save his teammates from dire situations! V33WISE literally proved to us why they are a part of the MPL Hall of Legends! A summary of the game is that Blacklist didn't let echo rest as they have taken all that they can take with those turtles, lords, and towers; eventually ending the game 1-0 in favor of Blacklist!
Game 2:
Echo finally decodes blacklist's strategy as they found the perfect counter for the estes and faramis ube strat as they have picked valir for the second game! Valir has potentially one of the greatest pokes in mobile legends as his first skill resets everytime you hit an enemy and that is the case for Echo as they utilized valir's skill to prevent hadji from clearing the lanes and made it hard for blacklist to group as they will be in grave danger for Yawi's fireballs. This enabled the rest of the members of Echo to freely farm in the early game and take all the objectives. Valir's searing torrent is also a good counter for Akai as if he had tried to initiate a teamfight. he will just get pushed back by the skill. Uranus is also a good pick as Blacklist International lacked the burst damage to kill uranus as they picked a utility tank, mage, and jungler. A great draft for Echo Philippines this time around, with a good rotation from the early game transitioning to the late game.
Game 3:
Echo, once again putting on a dominating performance, with them drafting a hyper-aggressive line up with the jawhead tank, grock exp, and akai jungle; three front line heroes to dominate the team fight and with the valentina and melissa at the back you would expect them to prioritize team fights and pick offs which they did as Oheb was not able to farm as they freezed the lane of beatrix and melissa poking him at every turn. It is only a matter of time t'ill they collapse due to the gold deficit. But after the ugly early game blacklist had, they were able to keep the gold lead as even as possible and was able to counter initiate but alas the damage and sustain of echo was too strong making blacklist stay at the their base. Let us also commend the jawhead of yawi with his flicker +eject combo picking off wise and oheb who are the crucial sustain and damage of blacklist, respectively. Finally they ended the game after Sanford killed the final member of blacklist who is defending the base while Edward was in the back line killing Bennyqt; the grock was able freely punch the base until they won. GG for Echo Philippines.
Game 4:
The synergy of the 5 members of blacklist bloomed as they have delivered us as close as you can get to a perfect game. A draft that has it all: burst, sustain, crowd control, and dps. This is the answer of Blacklist International to Echo's Uranus pick as Oheb was always able to barely get the last hit on Uranus. The key factor to this draft is brody as he is the perfect hero to burst down uranus and to stop him from running as he is one of the few marksmen who has a stun. Yawi's jawhead this time around is ineffective as Blacklist was able to kite jawhead around while stunning and damaging him. Wise was able to get the Retribution on the Lord and turtle almost everytime. This made it easier for Blacklist to roam around the map as they have the map control by getting the lord. A commendable claude by Bennyqt but it isn't enough as Hadji's faramis was able to counter his blazing duet with the cult's altar. Echo was able to pick off a few members of Blacklist but to no avail as all the members of blacklist has been contributing all throughout the match and every single one of them is important in the team fights, even if you pick one of them off they still have the damage and sustain to continue the team fight and even win it. Edward AKA "Agent 0" was able to do a rat strategy again as he segwayed into the base of Echo so many times, destroying the turrents, and eventually ending the game and securing their second win of the series. The game is now tied with a score 2-2.
Game 5:
Same draft, same story. Blacklist International was able to get Hadji's pharsa again alongside with the pocket pick valentina of Wise and the signature hero of V33: Lolita. With this, you can probably tell that Blacklist was able to dominate again as they were able to clearly rotate to the lanes and the jungle of Echo to get hero kills to get an early gold lead. Wise also participated in the team fights and he is definitely the heart of the blacklist as he was able to get all the turtles in this game. Valentina again was able to steal the cult's altar to provide blacklist with the sustain and survivability to withstand the assault of the members of Echo. Wise was able to save OhMyV33NUS in several occasions with the cult's altar and due to this, was abe to out-sustain Echo even if they have the faramis. With support coming from V33WISE, Hadji was able to have an almost perfect game with a score of 8-1-9. Lastly, Edward with a perfect Uranus game with no deaths and sustaining the damage for Blacklist while dealing damage to seal the game!
Game 6:
Blacklist International, one win away from being the 3x MPL-PH Champions, picked another one of Wise's pocket pick: Guinevere! This is truly a one of a kind game where there are no turtles or lords that are taken! They turtle & lord danced for almost 18 minutes of the game while Edward and Sanford cut lanes, Oheb and Bennyqt cleared waves and farmed the jungle creeps. V33NUS checking bushes to protect Hadji and Oheb from potential ganks. With all defenses up and both teams playing with utmost caution, one mistake is all it took for Blacklist International to turn the tides in their favor when OhMyV33NUS' lolita's shield block all of the damage from the blazing duet and hitting a crucial 3-Man set for the initiation play for Blacklist International, finally the 4 members of Blacklist deals the damage needed to kill 3 members of Echo Philippines! With 40 seconds on their death timer, Blacklist International decided not to take the lord and just finish the game where Yawi and Sanford was not able to defend the base, lastly, conceding the trophy and ending their run as the runner-up for MPL-PH S10.
