Blacklist International banked on its “healing galing” meta with Estes and Rafaela to outlast Work Auster Force, 2-1, and remain undefeated in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Sunday, April 18.

With Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna’s Estes and Jayson “ESON” Gerardo’s Rafaela providing so much sustain in team fights, Blacklist came back from an early disadvantage against Work’s “nice one baby” duo of Claude and Angela to secure a 12-7 win in 12 minutes in Game 3.

The highly-disciplined squad of Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza punished the over-extensions of Laurence “Lift” Ruiz’s boys to turn things around.

Daniel “Chuuu” Chu’s Claude and Patrick “rTzy” Grecia’s Mathilda deleted OhMyV33nus and ESON but a recall celebration by Chuuu allowed DJ “Wise” Del Rosario’s Granger and Kiel “OHEB” Soriano’s Alice to strike back.

It was downhill for Work from there as Blacklist went on to get pickoffs, including a crucial kill on Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico’s Paquito, before taking down three other foes and circling around the base for a deserved celebration.

The Tier One Entertainment-backed team notched its fifth straight win in as many matches and stayed atop Group B with 13 points.

On the other hand, Work saw its three-game win streak end though it kept its solo lead in Group A with 10 points for the meantime.

Blacklist went for the healing gameplay of Veenus’ Estes and ESON’s Rafaela in all three games, including in Game 1 wherein they beat Work’s “AngeLance” combo for an 11-2 victory in 13 minutes.

Work found an answer to Blacklist’s super sustain draft in Game 2, picking up heavy burst-oriented heroes in Granger for Chuuu, Lunox for rTzy and the comfort Chou for 3MarTzy while forcing OHEB to use the Uranus.

Work jumped off to a great start with multiple pickoffs especially on OHEB and slowly built the lead before closing out the 15-minute 20-8 rout only to lose in the deciding game.
